We have another baby announcement! Our Teacher of the Week, 8th grade English teacher Angela Timmins, has a new addition to her family. Anna Josephine Timmins was born on Wednesday, March 6, weighing seven pounds, one ounce. Mrs. Timmins, her husband, Matt, and new big brother Luke (20 months old), are all doing great!
When shopping for collegiate onesies for little Anna Josephine, Mrs. Timmins has three schools to choose from: Immaculata University, where she earned her B.A. in English; Penn State, where she received her M.Ed. in Education; and Saint Joseph’s University, where she has accumulated sixty post graduate credits in Education. Mrs. Timmins has spent thirteen years at VFMS but also briefly taught in the Penn Delco School District. The odds are fairly good that Anna Josephine will be a teacher someday. Her Dad teaches Math to students in 10th-12th grades in the Central Bucks School District.
In an interview with the PTO, Mrs. Timmins shared the following information:
Pets – No.
Hobbies now – Reading, working out, cooking and spending time with her family.
Hobbies, sports and interests when you were in middle school – Played basketball and softball. Also took ballet and tap classes, participated in Girl Scouts and sang in the choir.
Interesting/little known facts or talents – She played field hockey and lacrosse in high school and was selected as the League’s MVP in lacrosse during her Senior year. She continued to play field hockey in college and coached eighth grade field hockey at VFMS for 10 years.
Advice for parents of middle school children – Even though they may not admit it or even realize it, your children want your advice and value your opinion.
