Peggy Kravitz has just started at VFMS in Learning Support for 6th and 7th grades after having spent the past 11 years at Valley Forge Elementary School in special education. She has been teaching since 1983 in various other Pennsylvania public school systems including Coatesville, Upper Darby and the Delaware County Intermediate Unit. Mrs. Kravitz has been married to Joe for 27 years and has three sons who all attended Conestoga High School, and the youngest is currently a sophomore there.
In an interview with the PTO, Mrs Kravitz shared the following information:
Pets – No.
Hobbies now – Volunteering in my children’s activities including football and Boy Scouts; ministry work at my church including outreach to the homeless and less fortunate.
Hobbies, sports and interests when you were in Middle School – Basketball; softball; cheerleading; Girl Scouts.
Interesting/little known facts or talents – I grew up in Washington DC and went to school with the children of major politicians. We used to have secret service agents posted in our classroom during the time prior to presidential elections because the vice presidential candidates’ children were our classmates.
Advice for parents of Middle School children – Children need to know that they are loved and supported. If they make a mistake, help them to accept the consequences and learn from it.
